Ninety-seven days ago, Consolidated Credit launched the #100Days100Ways to Save for Christmas campaign, offering daily tips on how Canadians can take the right steps to stay on budget for the Holidays and enjoy a financially fit 2015.
But we didn’t do it on our own.
Hundreds of Canadians offered their own savings tips by tweeting us at @Debt_Free_2Day, using the hashtag #100Days100Ways. We gave away $100 gifts cards to the best tweeters.
Last week, we gave away our final gift card – a $100 gift card for Shoppers Drug Mart – to Heidi Pawluk of Winnipeg. Here was her winning tweet:

Our judges chose Heidi’s tweet because it covered all the basics. It was unique because it included the very important step of having a plan to pay off your debt. Debt prevention is key, sometimes Holiday debt is inevitable, and you need to make sure you have a plan of attack for paying down your debt in short order, to avoid hefty interest charges.
Thanks to everybody who participated in the contest, and here’s to a debt-free 2015!
“Thanks for the great contest. Wonderful tips shared by everyone. Will enjoy a little shopping spree at Shoppers Drug Mart!” – Heidi Pawluk, Winnipeg, MB
