TORONTO, ON – The dedicated team from Consolidated Credit Counseling Services of Canada, Inc., today laced up their running shoes in a final sprint to raise over $4,000 for the 32nd annual Terry Fox Run.
Inspired by the legacy of Terry Fox and his mission to inform Canadians about the importance of finding a cure for cancer, the staff at Consolidated Credit chose the Terry Fox Run as this year’s employee fundraising challenge.
“I am really proud of the team’s accomplishment,” says Jeffrey Schwartz, executive director of Consolidated Credit Counseling Services of Canada. “100 per cent of our staff participated in office fundraising activities, and more than two thirds of the team is participating in the run today, bringing our fundraising total to over $4,000.”
To raise the funds for the 32nd annual Terry Fox Run, the team at Consolidated Credit participated in dress down days, bake sales, raffles and a handful of themed lunches. In addition, many staff members raised money outside of Consolidated, helping to push the team past their original fundraising goal of $3,000.
“Consolidated Credit believes in giving back to the communities in which we work, live and help our clients,” added Schwartz. “The Terry Fox Foundation is a wonderful organization whose work is felt throughout Canada and the world. I am proud of the way our team came together to give back to such a worthwhile cause.”
