Your credit card is probably still smoldering after another expensive holiday season.  Canadians planned to spend an average of $1,600 on holiday gifts, travel, and other yuletide expenses.

Jeff Schwartz, executive director of Consolidated Credit Counseling Services of Canada, went on the CBC New Network to offer some suggestions on how Canadians can climb out of the financial hole that can come from extra spending during the holidays.
