Optimism is great, but it won’t pay off your student debt

A recent CIBC survey showed that a majority of indebted students polled (66%) feel confident that they can pay off their student loans in five years or less. This optimism is in spite of the fact that 40% of respondents expect debts of $25,000 or more. Jeffrey Schwartz, Executive Director of Consolidated CreditCounseling Services of Canada, offers insight to Global News on how students can follow through on their debt-free ambitions.
