Canadians are spending more on debt repayment
A recent survey by Mintel revealed that Canadians are heeding the warnings about household debt and are making it a priority to chip away at their debts. They’re also making a point of spending less on restaurants and more on groceries, highlighting a shift away from dining out and the pricey bills that come with it.
But there’s a big difference between priorities and actions. The report also pointed out that some Canadians were hesitant to guarantee that they would be able to achieve their goals.
