Consolidated Credit offers frugal summer activity ideas for people in the GTA

toronto islandSummer is finally here!  While it feels like a very long time since the frigid and snowy record-setting winter, today is the day we officially begin the summer season.

But with the joy of summer comes a willingness to get out, enjoy ourselves, and spend money.  A recent survey from Tangerine found that Canadians tend to ease up on their budgeting and are more free-wheeling with their finances.

For his latest contribution to Inside Toronto, Consolidated Credit’s executive director Jeff Schwartz thought it would be a good idea to list some fun activities that will allow families to get the most out of summer while spending very little.

The article was for a Toronto website, but the concepts apply to towns and cities across the country.  Look for free festivals and look for summer discounts at museums and attractions.  Summer fun shouldn’t require a huge price tag!
